    2007年9月27日,世界酒店联盟通过香港政府注册,2008年3月31日在联合国世界旅游组织、原中国国家旅游局等官方机构和政府领导的关心与指导下,世界酒店联盟正式在上海宣告成立。2013年7月9日,经香港特区政府及香港警察总署和中国政府有关部门审核,世界酒店联盟国际社团执照正式获批颁发,2014年5月世界酒店联盟在北京设立代表处,2017年8月9日世界酒店联盟正式被纳入联合国经社部体系成为“非盈利的国际社团组织”(NGO)。世界酒店联盟既是世界上第一个酒店旅游行业集团服务平台,又是一个集行业传媒、文化、峰会及论坛、奖项评选、顾问咨询、商业渠道和项目投融资于一体的泛行业权威机构,也是联合国框架体系内唯一一个“世界酒店行业组织”,它以运营总部——北京、海南为双轴心,事业网络已经遍及世界各地,在全球设立有秘书处及分支机构近10个,如:北京、上海、巴黎、佛罗里达、泰国、马来西亚、海口、深圳等地,中国政府和国际社会对世界酒店联盟的健康成长和全球化发展给予了大力支持。

    “世界酒店联盟体系”拥有文旅国际峰会暨世界酒店论坛组委会、文旅杂志社、《世界酒店》杂志、世界酒店网、WHA官微及泛旅通讯社、世界酒店论坛、文旅国际峰会、世界酒店联盟大会、五洲钻石奖、文旅国际研究院、五洲钻石俱乐部、世界酒店品牌研究中心、五洲钻石酒店组织、酒店及旅游项目设计中心等多个品牌。为文旅行业及酒店旅游和其相关联的旅游地产、金融投资商提供传媒、文化、峰会及论坛、策划顾问咨询、项目投融资等全链条服务,其在大中华地区的投资运营机构为“中爱国际文旅集团”、“泛旅文化集团”,具体执行机构为:上海泛旅文化传播有限公司、泛旅(北京)国际文化传播有限公司。联盟和“联合国经社部国际旅游与酒店联合总会”,以及北京、上海、海南、广东、四川、重庆、河北等有关省政府、市政府有过“世界酒店论坛”、“文旅国际峰会”、“世界酒店联盟大会”、“UNWHA经济英雄盛典”、“五洲钻石奖颁奖盛典”等大型活动合作,并为杭州、宁波、青岛、成都、海口、石家庄、三亚、丽江、乐山、东莞、张家口、余姚、台湾、布鲁塞尔等多个城市帮助引进国际著名文旅及酒店品牌投资合作落户,并为各级地方政府招商引资超过1000亿元人民币。除此之外,联盟同多家国际权威机构和奔驰、宝马、林肯、英菲尼迪、奥迪、丰田、法拉帝、万豪、洲际、希尔顿、温德姆、雅高、中国电信、中国银联、中国金茂集团、中国金融租赁、海航、海尔、万达、慕思、马可波罗、首旅集团、锦江国际集团、金陵饭店集团、开元旅业集团、红杉资本、汉能资本等大型企业集团有过多方面的良好合作。联盟目前已有100多家集团理事会成员,超10万个四、五星级酒店和大型文旅企业及各类配套商会员单位,业务遍布全球。

    On September 27, 2007, the World Hotel Alliance (WHA) was registered through the Hong Kong government. On March 31, 2008, under the guidance and support of official government leaders, including the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) and the former China National Tourism Administration, the World Hotel Alliance was officially established in Shanghai. On July 9, 2013, after review by the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region government, the Hong Kong Police Force, and relevant Chinese government departments, the WHA was officially granted its international association license. In May 2014, the WHA set up a representative office in Beijing. On August 9, 2017, the WHA was formally incorporated into the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UN DESA) system as a "non-governmental international association organization" (NGO).

    The World Hotel Alliance is not only the world's first hotel and tourism industry group service platform but also a pan-industry authoritative institution integrating industry media, culture, summits and forums, award selection, advisory consulting, commercial channels, and project investment and financing. It is also the only "world hotel industry organization" within the UN framework. With its operational headquarters in Beijing and Hainan as dual hubs, its network has expanded globally, establishing nearly 10 secretariats and branches in cities such as Beijing, Shanghai, Paris, Florida, Thailand, Malaysia, Haikou, and Shenzhen. Both the Chinese government and the international community have strongly supported the healthy growth and global development of the WHA.

    The "World Hotel Alliance System" encompasses multiple brands, including Culture & Tourism Magazine, World Hotel magazine, World Hotel Network, WHA official WeChat, Pan-Travel News Agency, the World Hotel Forum, the Culture & Tourism International Summit, the World Hotel Alliance Conference, the Five-Star Diamond Awards, the Culture & Tourism International Research Institute, the World Hotel Leaders China Club, the World Hotel Brand Research Center, the Five-Star Diamond Hotel Organization, and the Hotel & Tourism Project Design Center. It provides comprehensive services such as media, culture, summits and forums, strategic consulting, and project investment and financing for the culture and tourism industry, hotels, and related sectors like tourism real estate and financial investors. Its investment and operational entities in Greater China include "Zhong-Ai International Culture & Tourism Group" and "Pan-Travel Culture Group," with specific executive agencies being Shanghai Pan-Travel Culture Communication Co., Ltd. and Pan-Travel (Beijing) International Culture Communication Co., Ltd.

    The WHA has collaborated with the "United Nations DESA International Tourism and Hotel Federation," as well as provincial and municipal governments in Beijing, Shanghai, Hainan, Guangdong, Sichuan, Chongqing, and Hebei, to organize large-scale events such as the "World Hotel Forum," "Culture & Tourism International Summit," "World Hotel Alliance Conference," and the "Five-Star Diamond Awards Ceremony." It has also facilitated the introduction of internationally renowned culture, tourism, and hotel brands to cities including Hangzhou, Ningbo, Qingdao, Chengdu, Haikou, Shijiazhuang, Sanya, Lijiang, Leshan, Dongguan, Zhangjiakou, Yuyao, Taiwan, and Brussels, assisting local governments in attracting over 100 billion RMB in investment.

    Additionally, the WHA has established strong partnerships with numerous international authoritative organizations and major corporations such as Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Lincoln, Infiniti, Audi, Toyota, Ferretti, Marriott, IHG, Hilton, Wyndham, Accor, China Telecom, China UnionPay, China Jinmao Group, China Financial Leasing, HNA, Haier, Wanda, DeRUCCI, Marco Polo, BTG, Jinjiang International Group, Jinling Hotel Group, New Century Tourism Group, Sequoia Capital, and Hanergy Capital. Currently, the WHA has over 100 group council members and more than 30,000 member units, including four- and five-star hotels, large culture and tourism enterprises, and supporting service providers, with operations spanning the globe.

    The overall concept and establishment of the "World Hotel Alliance System" took over a decade to develop. Since its inception, the WHA has leveraged a "three-pronged approach" of "media-driven initiatives, cultural support, and capital operations" to create a highly distinctive industry platform in China, encompassing media, culture, consulting, events, award selection, project planning and design, resource channels, and culture-tourism integration investment cooperation.
